VU, First Indiana Robotics scrimmage ignites Vincennes Campus with ingenuity
The Vincennes University Center for Applied Robotics and Automation and First Indiana Robotics welcomed high school students from Southwestern Indiana for an exhilarating Robotics Scrimmage on the Vincennes Campus. The event, which took place on Feb. 23, showcased the innovation and talent of budding engineers and robotics teams. The inaugural scrimmage allowed plenty of opportunities for students to demonstrate their technical skills and teamwork abilities.

The exhibition is a celebration of exceptional talents, creative brilliance, and profound narratives of African American artists. "In Blackest Shade, In Darkest Light" is a traveling exhibition (Feb. 16 - March 15) of seven Black American artists working in drawing.

VU introduces cutting-edge collaborative robots to Early College Career Centers
The Vincennes University Center for Applied Robotics and Automation (CARA) has taken a significant leap into the future of education and technology by deploying 12 collaborative robots across eight Early College centers in Indiana. Cobots are in use at the Area 31 Career Center in Indianapolis. The center received three cobots from the CARA in mid-January, and CARA Technical Advisor Morgan Chang trained five instructors and staff.

Vincennes University Education majors and faculty will once again create an immersive literacy experience this spring, which combines the joy of reading with the beauty of nature. Through the support of a generous $4,500 grant from the Knox County Community Foundation, VU will host a Story Walk for Knox County elementary school students and their families for a second straight year.

We're barely into 2024, yet there is a significant date long circled on the calendar of Dr. Dennis Wissing '76. With each passing day, the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at Louisiana State University-Shreveport is eagerly anticipating an approaching milestone and momentous occasion. "On January 15th of 2024, I will be a licensed respiratory therapist for 50 years," the Vincennes University graduate says. "That is my No. 1 and proudest achievement, and that is because of Vincennes University’s program."
