On and off campus Trailblazers have access to a multitude of extracurricular activities such as music festivals, the arts, and action-packed athletic events! Vincennes is a historic city that is rich and vibrant with culture. You will enjoy local theatre, festivals, historic landmarks and plenty of unique eats.

Founded in 1801 VU is Indiana’s first college making your degree widely recognized by top employers! Vincennes is a vibrant city rich with culture and history. Here you will find many unique local happenings such as the George Rogers Clark National Historic park, Fort Knox II, and the mansion of VU founder and US President William Henry Harrison.

Those with a college degree tend to earn more, a lot more. With a bachelor’s degree you may earn approximately $1 million more than someone with a high school diploma. We also offer a plethora of scholarships that can help you pay for college tuition and living expenses.

VU offers instate tuition for Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

Stephanie Stemle named Interim Dean of Vincennes University Jasper

VU is pleased to announce that Stephanie Stemle, Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, will take on the role of Interim Dean of VU Jasper as current Assistant Vice President and Dean Christian Blome is leaving VUJ for a new professional opportunity. Stemle, a Dubois County native and resident, brings 14 years of dedicated service at VU to her interim role. Her deep roots in the community and extensive experience with VU make her the perfect candidate to ensure a smooth transition and continued success at VU Jasper.

Amazon and VU reach impressive milestone in Mechatronics and Robots Apprenticeship partnership

VINCENNES, Ind. - Amazon and Vincennes University are proud to commemorate a significant milestone in their innovative partnership as they recently celebrated the 50th cohort of apprentices in the Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship (MRA) Program. This milestone highlights the success of the collaboration, which has produced more than 940 apprentices and anticipates exceeding 1,000 apprentices by the end of 2024.

VU's Laura Holscher testifies in Washington D.C. before Senate Special Committee on Aging

The United States Senate Special Committee on Aging held a successful hearing focused on the 2024 reauthorization of the Older Americans Act (OAA) on May 23. Vincennes University’s Laura Holscher, Executive Director/Assistant Vice President for Generations Area 13 Agency on Aging and Disability in Vincennes, was among four witnesses who testified before the Senate Committee at the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington D.C.

Vincennes University students showcased their advanced manufacturing skills and talent at a Project MFG Regional competition, marking VU's second consecutive appearance after competing in a 2023 regional. VU Agribusiness students shine with second-place finishes in national livestock judging contest

A team of Vincennes University Agribusiness students showcased their outstanding expertise by placing second in the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture Livestock Judging Contest last month. In addition to the team's success, VU student Sidnee Mason emerged as a standout performer, placing second as an individual participant.
