Media Advisory: Washington Junior High School Design and Innovation Studio Ribbon Cutting

WHAT: Media are invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Washington Junior High School Design and Innovation Studio. Vincennes University has provided funding for the Washington Junior High Design and Innovation Studio. The D&I Studios are a collaboration with the Indiana Next Generation Manufacturing Competitiveness Center (IN-MAC) at Purdue University, and they are part of a large initiative VU is taking to develop STEM education interest in the elementary/intermediate levels. The D&I Studios are dedicated spaces within schools that are equipped with STEM technology. Over the next five years, VU will implement more than 10 D&I Studios in Indiana. The Washington Junior High School D&I Studio is the University’s fourth D&I Studio.
