Electronic Media Learning to be Assessed and Faculty Collaborators

Outcome 1:  Create informational/entertainment audio projects.

Learning Skill/Knowledge to be Assessed:  The ability of students in MDIA 120, Audio Production Labs, to use the Adobe Audition software in an audio studio to produce and properly save a 30 second commercial with voice, music, and sound effects. 

Why:  These represent critical skills required to meet the industry standards for audio production.

Outcome 2:  Deliver a written and verbal client presentation.

Learning Skill/Knowledge to be Assessed: MDIA 150, Media Sales and Marketing, focuses on preparing the beginning salesperson. Assessment will focus on the student’s demonstrated understanding of preparing and delivering a client sales presentation. 

Why:  These are essential skills required for employment in media sales.
