Outcome 1:  Demonstrate the cognitive knowledge necessary for satisfactory performance in an entry-level funeral service position.
 
Project A Title: Written Pathology Review (Unit 2 and 3 exams)

Brief Project Description: The faculty wish to increase the amount of written Pathology review material presented to the students to see if there is a correlation with increased scores on Content Unit examinations.  Content Unit 2 and 3 to be used for the assessment activity.
Assessment Tool(s)Used: Unit 2 and 3 exams
Success Standard:  60% of students will answer each question correctly.

Project B TitleAudio Pathology Review (Unit 4 and 5 exams)

Brief Project Description: The faculty wish to present review Pathology material (via audio) on the Bb Collaborate class site for FNRL 285 to the students to see if there is an increase in scores on Content Unit examinations.  Content Unit 4 and 5 to be used for the assessment activity.

Project A Title: Lawsuit Research Paper

Brief Project Description: Students will research a lawsuit involving a funeral home and unethical behavior.  The student will write a synopsis based upon their research of the case.

Success Standard:  75% of the students will score above average on each dimension of the rubric.

Brief Project Description: Students who take the FNRL 200 course via on campus and distance education will post their written synopsis to Blackboard and fellow students will select two cases in which to respond in discussion form (via Bb Discussion Board).
