Mission Statement
The mission of the Vincennes University VU/Purdue Cooperative Agriculture Transfer program is to prepare students to apply scientific knowledge to become good stewards of natural resources for food production systems.  By completing course work and laboratory activities, the program student will have insight and understanding into the interaction of food production systems, agricultural sustainability, and environmental quality.  This broad based 2+2 Agriculture program allows for seamless transfer to Purdue’s College of Agriculture where students complete their Baccalaureate degree.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students who complete course work in the Agriculture program will be able to:

  • identify the interaction among food production systems, agricultural sustainability, and environmental quality.
  • employ written, visual, and oral presentation skills regarding agriculture production systems.
  • apply scientific concepts to address critical issues facing the food, agriculture, and natural resource system.
  • examine the role of agriculture production systems in the sustainability of abundant, safe food supplies for our country and the world.
