Programming and Game Development

Mission Statement
The mission of the Vincennes University Information Technology – Programming and Game Development Program is to train students from diverse backgrounds who are interested in employment in game programming, game development, game modeling, and game animation. Through hands-on activities and team-centered project development, students will learn the skills of character development, the game design process, and role requirements. The program is designed to educate students on many career paths that are a part of game design and production and prepare them for entry into the industry or transfer to another institution.

Program Learning Outcomes 
Students who complete course work in the Programming and Game Development program will be able to:

  • create two- and three-dimensional games.
  • animate two- and three-dimensional models.
  • develop assets to be used with a variety of game engines.
  • develop applications using a variety of programming languages.
