Mission Statement
The mission of the Vincennes University Computer Networking Specialist program is to provide students with the computer networking skills and critical knowledge that will enable them to become capable and productive network service technicians, installers, administrators, designers, and WAN/LAN managers.  Through extensive network topologies and preparation for several national certifications, students will be prepared to meet the technical, intellectual, and professional demands of employment in the various concentrations.  The comprehensive range of courses prepares students for careers in Computer Networking or for transfer to a baccalaureate program.

Program Learning Outcomes:
Students who complete course work in the Computer Networking program will be able to:

  • understand networking environments and fundamental networking concepts.
  • analyze various circuits and/or systems.
  • demonstrate a technical proficiency in computer networking.
  • understand professional performance and behavior.
  • perform hands-on lab experiments using proper techniques and documentation.
